PROJECT HOPE

Project Hope was born out of the vision of Shekinah Ministries India.

In 1996  Ps. Jojo Thomas & his wife Anitha,  arrived in Adelaide from Kerala, India.  God had given them a vision to go to a place they had never seen to help raise the support needed to spread the Gospel to the people of India.

Shekinah Ministries India was born!

SHEKINAH CHILDREN’S HOME

SMI’s first children’s home has been established in Erattupetta, Kerala.  The building work was completed in 2008, it can house 100 children from broken families, street children and children from destitute homes, as well as orphans.

We are mindful of the poor outcomes that are the result of children growing up in institutions, particularly in India.

Our aim is to educate and care for these children until they can either return to their families or be re-established with another  family. Either way, we will  provide  on-going support to them and their  families.

Knowing that you care enough to be involved with these children will help greatly in their emotional healing.
